end of vacation

Well, my vacation is officially over. I have to go back to work tomorrow after having 2 weeks off. I'm certainly not looking forward to being at work but it will be nice to have somewhere to go. I didn't accomplish as much as I would have liked, but it was vacation! I didn't want to do anything. I was able to get a few rooms painted in the house which has been great. The prior owners had beige carpet and off-white walls everywhere so it felt a little institutional. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in class on Thursday. Our trip to Portland!

My hubby and I just got back from a long weekend in Portland. We stayed up late, acted like tourists, and ate our way through the city! My hubby's birthday is in April and instead of getting Sox tickets, I got tickets to 2 Sea Dogs games and we made a weekend out of it. The video is a slideshow of our pictures from the trip. We took a cruise around Casco Bay and a trolley tour of the city so there are a bunch of pictures from that, along with our view of the Bay from our hotel room and pictures from the games. This was the first full weekend we've had off together in a long time and it was great to get away! I still have another week of vacation and it's going to be so hard to go back to work next week!

vacation

I am 1 work day away from a 2 week vacation from work! I'm still not entirely sure I'm going to make it through the day but my fingers are crossed. I'll be spending most of my time around the house doing some painting and getting ready for a family cookout we thought was a good idea to host, but my hubby and I will also be spending several days up in Portland where we will be heading to a couple of Sea Dogs games. I'll take some pictures of our adventures and get them up here soon. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far. I know we are all hoping for a little sunshine!

First blog

I'm not much of a blogger but it's an assignment for class so here we go. I'm in the middle of my summer elective on computer utilization in social work then I have one full year left, including 24 hours of internship/week until May 2010. In June after graduation I'm heading to Jamaica for vacation! That's my motivation to keep going!
